After installation

How to configure mining pools

Connect the miner to a primary pool, add backups and verify that shares are being accepted.

4 min readStep-by-step guide

A correct pool configuration is the first step after installation. Prepare the official stratum address, worker name and any required password before opening the miner interface.

1

Before you start

  • Create an account and worker on your chosen pool.
  • Copy the current stratum URL and port from the pool’s official website.
  • Prepare at least one backup pool.
  • Make sure your computer can reach the miner on the local network.
2

1. Open the miner interface

Enter the miner IP address in a browser and sign in. The default password may be admin if it has not been changed; use the credentials configured for your device.

3

2. Enter pool details

Open Mining and then the pool configuration area. Enter each value exactly as supplied by the pool.

  • URL: the complete stratum address and port.
  • Worker: the pool account and worker name in the pool’s required format.
  • Password: the worker password, often x when the pool does not require one.
  • Backup pools: add secondary addresses in priority order.
4

3. Save, apply and verify

  1. 1

Select Save to store the settings.

  2. 2

Select Apply to activate them; allow the miner to restart if requested.

  3. 3

Open the status page and wait for the pool connection to become active.

  4. 4

Confirm that hashrate appears and accepted shares begin increasing.

Important: A configured pool is not necessarily a working pool. Verify accepted shares and the worker status on the pool dashboard before leaving the miner unattended.
5

If the pool does not connect

  • Re-copy the address and port from the official pool page.
  • Check the required worker-name format.
  • Verify DNS, gateway and internet access on the miner network.
  • Try the backup pool to separate a pool issue from a miner issue.
